To All Alumni, Friends & Fans of the Corps,

Many of you may have already heard the good news....The Kingsmen Junior Corps is on it's way back to the field of competition and is proud to announce they have teamed up with Albertsons' Community Partner program! Every time you swipe your Albertsons' Preferred Savings Card the corps gets a whopping 5% donated! That's powerful, because it all adds up! This is nothing short of brilliant and very generous on Albertsons' part. Fundraising methods have certainly gone hi-tech.

Today we come to you with a special request that won't break the bank and one that will greatly be appreciated by the future Kingsmen Starcorps members. This past summer the board of directors was officially nominated for the Kingsmen Starcorps Drum and Bugle Corps, which we are all very honored and proud to serve. The Board of Directors would like to share with you a simple and easy way in which you can help to support the Kingsmen Starcorps without any additional out of pocket expense. This is a no brainer and will only take a few moments of your time. Please read on.....

Albertsons' offers a wonderful program called "Community Partners"

that we can all take part in by doing our ordinary grocery shopping. All you have to do is register your Albertsons' Preferred Card. It only takes a minute or two to register your card. Once registered, every time you shop, Albertsons' will donate 5% of whatever your grocery bill adds up to and forwards it on your behalf to the Kingsmen Starcorps Drum and Bugle Corps. You can help us greatly by not only registering your own personal card but by also telling your family and friends about this program. Better yet, go pro-active with us and log on to the Albertsons' web site when you're over at your family and friends homes and ask them to register their cards for a very worthy cause. Take charge and do it while you're right there with them. This is an all hands on deck type approach and we need your help getting the word out that this program exists. We have set a target to register approximately 11,000 Preferred Cards over the next year because it does all add up!

Now if you do not have a Preferred Card yet, you can get one instantly by going to http://albertsons.com, enter your zip code, and then click in the upper right hand corner on "PREFERRED SAVINGS CARD". Then click on "sign me up" and fill out all the boxes. You will then be given a temporary card that has your new membership number on it. Write that number down, and then go to the Community Partner Registration instructions shown below.

You can also stop in at any Albertsons' store and get your Preferred Savings Card, which is issued at the cash register or customer service booth which gives you added savings on specials they offer throughout the store. This card can also be used at Savon and Osco Drug, so please get your card today!

Hopefully you all have an Albertsons' near your home. If you currently shop at another store, we hope you will consider switching for the greater good of the corps' return to the community. This new crop of kids really could really use your help in bringing top notch competitive drum and bugle corps back to Southern California.

So how easy is it to register your card?......just follow the easy steps below....then once you've registered, simply shop at Albertsons' and don't forget to let the cashier swipe your Preferred Card every time you shop. Albertsons' does the rest. You can even visit their web site on a quarterly basis to see just how much Albertsons' has donated to the corps on your behalf, just for simply shopping at Albertsons'.

Here's How to Register:

Step 1. To register your card click on the link below and it will take you to "In The Community"

Step 2. Once you're on that page...scroll down until you see the Community Partners Logo
and click on it.

Step 3. That will open a separate Window...where it says Shoppers login or register with your Preferred Savings Card first. Click on it and then enter your Albertsons Preferred Card "card number" and the "phone number" you used when you applied for the Preferred Card. Then Click the "Login" button.

Step 4. You're almost done! On the Right side of this Window you will see a Sign Post.....click on "Find A Partner" and type in "Kingsmen Starcorps" and select "California" from the pull down menu and click "Find Partner"

That will show the corps registered number along with the corps mailing address: 49001008811

Now check the little box next to the Corps information and click the most important button "Add Selected Partner"

That's it! You've done it. You're now officially a Kingsmen Starcorps Supporter and we thank you greatly!

The web page will show you that you have selected the corps as your benefactor and that when you shop next you'll be donating 100% of the 5% available from your Albertsons grocery bill. You pay nothing to register, not a penny more for your groceries and you'll save on store specials too! It's absolutely FREE of any added Charges!!!
